Cycliad Tour Stops in Macon 4/7/16
Cycliad is a 1,000+ mile bicycle event encompassing five Southeastern states during the month of April. The purpose of Cycliad is to raise funds to support the patients and programs of the UAB Cancer Community Network, touching nearly 70,000 cancer patients in five Southeastern states. Cycliad offers multiple cycling options to accommodate all types of riders- from beginners, who never get on a bike, to casual weekend riders, and cyclists who are seeking an epic personal challenge.
Each participant is challenged to raise funds and make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. We purpose 100% of rider fundraising to go directly into programs and services that support these patients.
This year, the Coliseum Cancer Institute is a Partner Hospital for the ride! Because of this partnership, the riders will stop for the night in Macon on Thursday, April 7th at the Coliseum Hospital downtown. The next morning, they will leave for Albany.
Anyone interested in riding with the group into Macon is welcome to join! You can ride the whole day, or jump in for a leisurely 18 mile ride from Jarrell House Plantation to the Coliseum. See below for more details on how to register to ride.
Those who do not want to ride, but want to cheer on the group as the come in to town, please plan on joining us at the Coliseum Thursday afternoon. Location and time details are on the way. Stay tuned to our social media pages for up-to-date information! We hope to see y’all there!
