Join the Bike Tech family each Saturday Morning at 8:15 a.m. (weather dependent) for a fun bike ride exploring downtown Macon.
Crank to Coffee is a casual weekly bicycle ride. All riders and skill levels are welcome! The route is around 8-10 miles (round trip) but the route is rather flat for the area. We stop along the route at a local coffee shop (varies) for a quick break. Arrive around 8:00am at the shop to prepare for the ride. Wheels down at 8:15 sharp!
The route is pretty standard, but we reserve the right to shake it up a bit if the group wants to explore a little! Please remember, this is a ride, not a race! *Ride at your own risk* *Bring $ for Coffee and Food*
Bike Tech Gravel Ride Series April 12th Meet: Juliette Park (5543 Juliette Road, Juliette, GA) Wheels Down: 6:00pm (arrive by 5:45pm) Route: 15+ miles, 11+ mph pace
Gravel Rides will primarily be on slightly technical surfaces that can include smooth & washboard gravel, loose, rocky and sandy terrain over a mix of paved and gravel roads.
Gravel Rides are completely self-supported with no resupply options. Each rider is responsible for their own food, nutrition, water, mechanicals, etc. We will provide a route and a no drop environment but proper preparation is crucial.
The ideal bicycle for a gravel ride is typically equipped with a tire width range of 35mm – 2.3″ and a wide range of gears. Each rider should have a GPS device or have the route downloaded on your phone (Strava, Ride with GPS or similar). The ability to carry plenty of water, nutrition items and mechanical supplies is a must.
A helmet, gloves, front and rear lights, spare tube, etc. are required.
