4th Annual A Journey for Autism Ride
4th Annual A Journey for Autism Ride
Y’all, its almost here! One of Macon’s greatest cycling events is just a few weekends away on Saturday, May 7th. This is an event for the whole family. They have a 1 mile fun ride for kids plus a pick your course route of 22, 33, 66 or 100 miles. There are SAG stops/vehicles along each route and a post ride meal will be provided for all registered riders. Talk about a great day of cycling!
This is our first year (as new owners of Bike Tech) being involved with this event, although Bike Tech has been a sponsor in the past. From our involvement so far, we can confidently say that the passion from Janet and the board is infectious. If just a small amount of their drive and enthusiasm for helping children and families diagnosed with autism spills over the the ride in a few weeks, it will not be one to miss!
We are also happy to announce that we have donated three bikes for this event! Everyone who registers is entered to win (it is not a race). The bikes are a 2016 Giant Defy 3, Trek Women’s Road Bike and 2016 KHS Alite Kids Bike. Want a chance to win while raising money for a great cause? Register today! More details below…
Proceeds from this event stay here in Central Georgia and benefit Central Georgia Autism’s Scholarship Program, Workshops and Family Events. Scholarships provide all types of medical treatments, therapies, specialized camps and iPad communication for children who have been diagnosed with Autism.
