Casual ride leaving Bike Tech on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. Come burn of some of the leftovers and decompress after all the Black Friday shopping! We'll leave at 8:10am, ride around 10-12 miles (try to average 10mph pace, depending on lights) and will be back close to 9:30. It's time to deck the halls and don your tackiest Christmas sweater and most festive holiday gear. Join Bike Walk Macon on Sunday, December 4 to spread some holiday cheer in the 41st Annual Main Street Macon Christmas Parade! Riders of all ages and levels are invited to join us at Rosa Parks Square (Poplar and 1st) at 1:00 PM. We'll have specially-outfitted Christmas trees bikes and tinsel to decorate your wheels. Afterwards, ride with us in the parade, which starts at 3pm. The fun continues after the parade. Everyone is invited to join the group ride to The Brick Macon for food and mingling. Don't have a bike? There are two nearby Macon Bike Share stations at Tubman Museum and Washington Memorial Library. You can also rent a bike from Bike Tech Macon on Saturday at Splinster.com. Join us each Tuesday as we explore Macon by bike! We'll ride to/through places like Amerson River Park, Riverside Cemetery, Tattnall Square Park, Downtown Macon, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and more... All riders and all styles of bicycles are welcome. This is a no drop ride. Rides are at night and routes do travel down public roads. Helmets, bright front and rear lights are required! We'll also encounter some gravel, dirt and who knows what else - just come find out. Routes will change from week-to-week based on what bikes show up. This ride will meet at and end up at Bike Tech - 3003 Vineville Ave, Macon, GA. Want a fun, no-pressure group ride in the dark? Want to get lost in dark woods with friends on bicycles? New to night riding and afraid to be in the woods alone at night? Come on out to our social, no-drop, beginner friendly, weekly group ride! We'll be riding at the Pig Trail (Georgia Children's Home.) The trail should be -mostly- dry by then, and the weather Thursday looks great. Wheels up at 6pm and we'll ride until we stop.
