We're back for some urban exploration and you will need some form of "off road bike." The choice is yours, mountain bike, gravel bike, etc. Something with wide(er) tires. According to Tripp, we're going in a direction never gone before on this ride. Interested? Join us! All riders are welcome. This is a no drop ride, and you are welcome to join us along the way. MACON Bike Rack Press Conference

Join Bike Walk Macon for a press conference announcing the locations of 12 new bike racks in Downtown Macon, including the locally designed and crafted MACON bike rack at Just Tap'd (488 1st St.). This Macon Bike Biz bike rack program is funded by the Downtown Challenge Fund of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. The Downtown Challenge was created to implement the Macon Action Plan through a series of grants to local businesses, nonprofits, individuals, and government entities. Bike ‘n’ Beers + Macon Night Ride

Bike 'n' Beers is back! Join Bike Walk Macon at Just Tap’d (488 1st St.) on August 29th to help create a more bikeable, walkable Macon! The meeting will kick off with a group ride beginning and ending at the patio at Just Tap'd - Macon (488 1st St.) at 5:15 PM. The ride will feature an easy pace and distance. For those who cannot participate in the group ride, the meetup will begin at 6:00 PM in the basement at Just Tap’d. The meetup will provide a fun, collaborative forum for everyone to mingle, share updates, and plan upcoming programs. We'll also hear from special guest Alex Leahy from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia about Downtown Challenge. She’ll share info about what ideas make good Downtown Challenge applications. If you have an idea for how to make Macon more bikeable or walkable, be sure to join us! Everyone is welcome! Refreshments and one complimentary drink will be provided. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We're joining the Bike Walk Macon ride in the place of our normal Tuesday Night Ride this week! A few of us will ride from Bike Tech at 4:30pm and head to Just Tap'd. Following the meeting, those that want to ride more, can.
