Historic Macon’s summer interns, Elaine Sullivan and Sara Doll, researched Macon’s industrial heritage and presented their findings at the Sidney Lanier Cottage in July. Now that cooler weather is on its way, Alex Morrison of the Urban Development Authority will lead a bike tour of this fascinating area.
The tour will begin in front of Terminal Station (300 Cherry Street) and cover everything from Macon’s rich railroad history to the old city jail. This easy ride will run from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, October 8 and will end at Macon Beer Company (345 Oglethorpe Street).
Tickets are $10 per Historic Macon Foundation members and $15 for non-members. Space is limited and based on online reservations.
