The Kids Tri is not about winning or times\, but about having fun and learning to race. \nPrice: FREE!!! You will receive an email confirming registration. \nAge Groups/Start Times/Distances: \n\nJuniors (5-8 Years Old): 8:00am; 50 yard swim\, 1.5 mile bike\, 500 yard run\nIntermediate (9-11 years old): 8:30am; 100 yard swim\, 3 mile bike\, 1k run\nSeniors (12-13 years old): 9:00am; 200 yard swim\, 6 mile bike\, 2k run\n\nTeaching and ensuring SAFETY is our top priority. DESCRIPTION:The Georgia Veterans Triathlon is held at the Georgia Memorial State Park in Cordele\, GA.  This race is one of the best-kept secrets for those who want to race on a fast and very flat course. Cordele is just a few hours south of Atlanta and only a few miles off I-75 (exit 101). Cabins and Lake Blackshear Resort is located right on the race course inside The Georgia Memorial State Park. DESCRIPTION:New to mountain biking? Just getting back on the bike? Just want a chill\, conversation-pace ride? Come out to LH Thomson for a social ride with a slow pace and a focus on having a good time and improving your technical skills. \nThe weather monkeys are talking a chance of rain this week but come on out no matter what. If it’s wet enough that riding will damage the trail we’ll go get a beer somewhere\, but Thomson is okay in all but the worst weather so plan on riding. \nHelmets are required and bringing something to drink on the bike is recommended since it’s hot. Also\, please consider insect repellent because Lyme Disease\, West Nile\, and Zika all really suck. \nThis will normally be a weekly ride through the summer\, either on Thursdays or before the meetings if they’re on some other day. We’ll rotate through the local trails\, so watch for events on the OMBA Facebook page.

SUMMARY:OMBA Beginner + Chill Ride
DESCRIPTION:New to mountain biking? Just getting back on the bike? Just want a chill\, conversation-pace ride? Come out to The Children’s Home Trail (AKA the Pig Trail) for a social ride with a slow pace and a focus on having a good time and improving your technical skills. We’ll more than likely have a women’s group and a men’s group\, and there’s always a few frosty beverages and socializing afterward. \nHelmets are required and bringing something to drink on the bike is recommended since it’s hot. Also\, please consider insect repellent because Lyme Disease\, West Nile\, and Zika all really suck. \nThis will normally be a weekly ride through the summer\, either on Thursdays or before the meetings if they’re on some other day. We’ll rotate through the local trails\, so watch for events on the OMBA Facebook page.
